The story of Patty Please begins with partners Khaled, Simon, and Haley Pham, who were eager to give their already successful Taco Sublime burgers a standalone platform to truly shine. The opportunity to create this new concept came about when Footman Hospitality was looking for an operator to take over the iconic Chicago bar, Small Bar. As a beloved institution in the city, this was the perfect chance to develop something truly unique.
Khaled and Haley were honored to be selected for this project, and it’s here that their burger concept was born. While it’s different from what people might expect, it shares a similar spirit with their earlier creations. Instead of the classic toasted bun, they introduced an al potato bun—soft, steamed, and unlike anything you’d find at most burger joints. The goal wasn’t to reinvent the wheel, but to pay homage to an American classic.
This burger isn’t just about innovation; it’s about honoring the food that has been part of American culture for generations. At Patty Please, they’re not trying to change the game—they’re simply celebrating the iconic flavors that have fed millions.
